League Information
Performance Division
In 2012 Upward Sports created its Performance Division, with elite level youth sports teams known as Upward Stars. These programs are designed for athletes in 4th grade through High School who want to take the next step in their sports journey. These advanced programs include club, travel and AAU-type teams that apply the Upward 360 Progression by helping athletes develop mentally, athletically, spiritually and socially.
In the Performance Division, experienced coaches teach and encourage athletes who have the ability and the desire to take it to the next level.

11 major tournaments have been won by Upward Stars teams! 40 Upward Stars athletes have received offers to play for Division I or II colleges! 100% of Upward Stars athletes Play with a Purpose– striving to display excellence both on and off the court!
Participation!
Upward Stars teams have tryouts that are open to anyone, not just participants in an Upward Academy or league. From the tryouts, the Stars teams are selected by the coaches involved.
Developmental Division
The Developmental Division of Upward Sports is designed to provide intensive skill development that focuses on fundamentals and prepares young athletes to compete at higher levels. The backbone of the Developmental Division is the Upward Academy.
